Final Exam

I want you to notice something.

Look back at everything you’ve deposited into Github. If you’ve been doing this in good faith, you should see an evolution in your thinking as you go through your materials. There will be things that worked very easily, and things that were hard. Sometimes, the easiest things might be the most troubling, when you think about them in the context of the readings and my lectures; sometimes the technically hardest things might not have shifted your understanding of the archaeological materials too much, but maybe they changed how you think about the process. We don’t have an archaeology degree here; you are all coming from programs in History or the Humanities or elsewhere. How has your thinking about your ‘home’ discipline changed by this encounter with mine?

It’s this process and evidence of your own growth that I want you to notice. During the exams, I will be asking you two questions that draw that out more.
