You don’t have to do all of these to ‘perfection’. I know this is your first kick at the can at digital archaeology. I want you to try, in good faith, as many as you can. The important thing, when something techy doesn’t go according to plan, is to think about the process, not the result.

  • some basic archaeostats in R, using Google Colab
  • build a Harris matrix

Wk 7:

  • Build a small network dataset from simulated historic cemetery data
  • visualize the Roman empire as a network and calculate some statistics
  • run an agent based model on top of it

Wk 8:

  • Call on the shade of Flinders Petrie
  • create an image classifier

Wk 9: Consolidation 2

Wk 10:

  • Play some games from an archaeological perspective!
  • build a text based game with Ink
  • sonify data

Wk 11:

  • Programmatic access to ADS
  • Exploration of Open Context

Wk 12:

  • Replication
